About the Event
We are working extra hard to ensure the safety of our customers and staff team during Covid-19. Following current Gov guidelines we are providing boat hire for up to 6 and instructor led sessions for no more than 5 people per group, these can be from the same household or different ones.
How we are staying safe:
• Reduced participant numbers
• Online payments only
• Supervised buddy check of Buoyancy Aids/Helmets
• Helmets for under 18’s only
• Kit clean down after each group
• Teaching participants how to self-rescue
• Keeping 2m distance*
• Face mask and safety glasses as part of first aid PPE
*2m distance; will be kept unless an on-water rescue is deemed necessary by the instructor or if a participant requires first aid. If a participant requires first aid, the instructor will wear a face mask and safety glasses alongside their gloves.
How you can stay safe:
You can help us keep everyone safe by not attending an activity if you or anyone in your home/workplace has displayed symptoms in the last 7 days. Please also adhere to distancing rules for your travel to and from our activities. We do not advise that you wear gloves unless the weather calls for it, please wash your hands before the activity and once you get home. Where there are no hand washing facilities at the venue please use the provided hand sanitiser.

How it works:
Get in touch to check availabilty, we will then send you an invoice, disclaimer and the group forms.
Whether you are hiring a boat or having an instructor led session you will be provided with; a Kayak, Paddle, Buoyancy aid and helmets for any under 18’s. If you choose to hire a Kayak, we will need a deposit such as; car keys or drivers licence.
For Canal trips we will meet you opposite Kent avenue on County Drive, Fazeley. Please arrive 15 minutes before your time slot for your briefing.
If you are hiring a boat, you will then venture off to explore the waterway and return to the same point for your allotted time.
If you are having an instructor led session, we will discuss what you’d like to get out of your time on the water prior to your booked date, whether that’s a beginners course or a fun family trip.
If you would prefer to have a small lake all to yourself, we will meet you at Buzzards valley where you can enjoy the sheltered Pheasant lake. There is an extra charge of £25 per group for access to this and it is perfect for those with younger children.
What to bring:
Full change of clothes, shoes and a towel
What to wear:
Clothes you don't mind getting wet
Wet shoes or old trainers
What not to wear:
Jewellery Flip flops, heels or wellies
Our Kayaking adventures are suitable for people aged 8+ and we recommend a minimum age of 10 for half day trips. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult from their own household to assist them getting on and off the water. If you would like to discuss a younger person or someone with a physical disability joining an instructor led session, please get in touch.

Participants must be able to swim 25m.
Pre-booking is essential and can be done by phone or email.
Group forms must be completed and returned no later than the day before the booked time slot.
Payment is to be made by BACS on receipt of invoice to secure the booking. If payment is not received by the day before your booking it may be cancelled, or the slot given away.
A deposit is required for all boat hire bookings, this can be car keys or drivers’ licence.
In the case of damage or loss to Omega Outdoor Adventure equipment the group leader will be charged for repairs and/or replacement.
Cancellations: for a refund you must contact us a minimum of 48 hours before your booked time slot. Within 48 hours you can postpone your booking to another date.
