Service Description

The Paddle Safer course gives new paddlers the opportunity to develop their safety & rescue skills on the water. Suitable for those who are relatively new to paddling who want to gain knowledge and raise their awareness of paddling safely. This session is best suited for paddlers who have done one or two lessons already, it can also be used as a refresher. You can paddle a Kayak, Paddleboard or Canoe for this session. Dates & times: 15th August - 17:30-19:30 Age: 18+ Location: Buzzards Valley, Tamworth, Staffordshire What's included: -Boat/Board -Paddle -BA & Helmet -Safety equipment -Private lake -Experienced, qualified and DBS checked instructor -Certificate cost (British Canoeing Paddle Safer award) Please note that we don't provide personal clothing such as wet suits, wet boots and/or dry suits. Third session aims - Buzzard Valley - Theory & on the lake Theory - Equipment Theory - Environmental factors Theory - Planning On/in the lake - Rescues About the venue: The toilet block is situated at the main entrance, approximately 5 minutes walk from the lake. Changing is available in the separate Male and Female changing tents at Base Camp, or if you prefer at your car. (If you require a separate changing tent, please let us know in advance).
