Service Description

Our rolling clinic sessions are ideal for those looking to take the next step in their Kayaking journey. Suitable for those who have already learned how to Kayak, have been Kayaking for a while, wish to learn how to roll or develop their rolling skills so that it's every time. Times: 1 hour 30 - 17:30-19:00 - Thursday evenings Ratio: 1:3 Age: 12+ Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If you're looking for kids & teens lessons, please check out our Kayak club or get in touch to discuss private group lessons. Location: Buzzards Valley, Tamworth, Staffordshire B78 3EQ Session aims: Learning on (in) the lake - learning in natural water reduces the risk of having to re-learn your roll and adapt to cold water when you take it outside. Spray decks & peer rescues - all abilities welcome, we'll take you from your first spray deck capsize to your roll. Finding your roll - as with all Paddling, there's no one size fits all technique, with us you have the opportunity to explore different methods and find the one that works best for you. Developing your roll - all new skills require time for retention, we advise you book multiple session within a reasonable timeframe, once a week is ideal but we know that's not always possible. You can book sessions with us as you go or as a block. Rolling on the river - ready to put your skills into practice on the river? Just let us know, we organise 1 to 1 and group river sessions. What's included: -Kayak -Paddle -BA & Helmet -Spray deck -All safety equipment -Experienced, qualified and DBS checked instructor Please note that we don't provide personal clothing such as wet suits, wet boots and/or dry suits. You are also welcome to learn in your own boat. Additional course details: Sent by email after booking; pre-course questionnaire, meet points, weather update & kit list. About the venue: The toilet block is situated at the main entrance, approximately 5 minutes walk from the lake. Changing is available in the separate Male and Female changing tents at Base Camp, or if you prefer at your car. (If you require a separate changing tent, please let us know in advance). Base Camp is a completely outdoor venue with a big bush craft vibe. Cancellation Policy

Bookings are non-refundable. In the case of extreme poor weather we will reschedule the session.
