This 4 week Learn to Climb course is ideal for beginners looking for a solid start to their Climbing journey. Suitable for those over the age of 18 who wish to increase their confidence and independence on the wall. 4 week course running on Sundays Sessions 1, 2 & 4 = 1 hour 30 (11:00-12:30) Session 3 = 2 hours (11:00-13:00) Age: 18+ Location: Varied - Birmingham What's included: Entry to the wall Harness Shoe hire Ropes Belay equipment Experienced, qualified and DBS checked instructor Session 1 - Intro to Climbing - Creation centre, Birmingham Equipment and PPE Tying Knots Belaying Climbing & lowering safely Session 2 - Becoming independent - Creation centre, Birmingham Etiquette and other users Holding falls Route selection Session 3 - Developing technique - The Depot, Birmingham Bouldering safely Route planning Footwork & climbing technique Session 4 - Back on the ropes - Creation centre, Birmingham Skills into practise Dynamic belaying Consolidation of rope safety Climbing Flow & head game Weekly course details: Sent by email after booking; meet points, session aims & kit list.
